Samuel
Lock has wide ranging local and regional experience spanning the marketing
research, NGO, oil, and beverage industries. His past responsibilities
include marketing research, marketing, corporate communications, change
management; liaison with the Advisory Board, government ministries, analysts,
media and the community.
As Group Corporate Communications Manager in Asia Pacific Breweries, and
Public Affairs Advisor in ExxonMobil, Samuel has managed numerous “real
life” crises and issues. He was a part of the ExxonMobil Asia Pacific
Regional Response Team and was a part of numerous change management processes
including the Exxon-Mobil merger in Singapore.
His market research experience at a predecessor of AC Nielsen, ranges
from banking, courier services, shipping, cars, government research projects,
consumer products, to advertising concept development and pre-testing.
He has helped clients successfully develop new products, fine-tune product
positioning and advertising, as well as assess market feasibility.
Samuel has guest lectured in marketing research at the Marketing Institute
of Singapore, and a Japanese MNC; and speaks on corporate communications
at professional conferences. A qualified ISO 14000 and ISO 9000 auditor,
he has successfully promoted positive mindsets and employee behavioural
change on environmental and quality issues.
Samuel’s stint as Assistant Director at The Salvation Army Singapore,
Malaysia and Myanmar Command places him well to advise on the needs of
Non Profit Organisations, community project management, and how companies
can achieve better public trust, corporate brand equity and government
relations.
His instinctive training and coaching ability, enhanced by a brief association
with an international training company, facilitates effective implementation
of solutions. Samuel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Chartered Institute
of Marketing Diploma, and graduate diplomas in marketing management and

Woods. David has developed and adapted the U.S. program to local context
and titled it “Arrows With Soul™”- A “heartware”
road map to work life integration.
David is the Chief Facilitator for the Clarion Consultants CEO Round Table
monthly learning forum, attended by leaders and owners of local SMEs and
numerous business organizations such as The Association of Small &
Medium Enterprises (ASME), Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce &
Industry (SCCCI), Singapore Manufacturers Association (SMA), and Singapore

Christopher
possesses an excellent blend of technical and business expertise, culled
from over 25 years of senior level experience in a variety of portfolios.
He has worked in respected multinationals including IBM, Logica plc, Lotus
Development, Candle Corporation, Standard Chartered Bank.
Christopher had a stint as technopreneur when he set up his own systems
consultancy company in 1985. Since then, he has successfully built up
regional businesses in professional services and systems integration,
training and development, and consultancy and services.
He is very familiar with all aspects of business management processes
including finance (both legal and management reporting), operations, legal
matters, personnel. His in-depth exposure to the entire sales life cycle
corroborates with an impressive track record of revenue performance both
as regional director and as owner of his own consulting firm.
Christopher is experienced in the entire life cycle of a computer system,
from concept and feasibility study to ongoing maintenance and support.
In particular, systems integration and project management of complex,
leading edge systems to time and budget, in order to achieve profitability.
Experienced with the business use of IT, Christopher worked with business
critical systems including online financial transaction processing systems
and high-value funds transfer systems. He set up and managed product support
center to ISO 9000 standards for business critical systems.
Christopher has wide ranging project experience in many industries on
a variety of hardware platforms. He has in-depth experience in retail
and wholesale banking; credit approval and administration. He has a special
passion for the adult training and education business.

Evonne
Lee is a creative, versatile and award winning PR manager with significant
experience in the hospitality industry and 5 international PR awards to
her credit. She made her foray into the hospitality industry with The
Regent, Kuala Lumpur, upon graduation from Sydney University in the eighties.
A former Malaysian, she moved to Singapore to work as Public Relations
Manager in Harbour View Dai-ichi Hotel, now known as “M”.
Evonne joined Le Meridien Singapore, to take charge of its newly initiated
Privilege Club, before taking over the helm of Public Relations department
in 1993. She handled both public relations, advertising & promotions,
covering media relations, advertising, to event promotions (without advertising
agency support) and even publishing – producing up to four concurrent
newsletters for Le Meridien.
Evonne has picked up three international awards for newsletters she has
produced - two silvers and a bronze at the Adrian and Golden Bell PR Awards,
conferred by the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International
(HSMAI).
She had a hand in a number of high profile events, having sat on several
charity fund-raising committees in aid of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
The inaugural 1993 Vienna Opera Ball, billed as “The Ball of the
Year” by Lifestyle Asia, a Philippine publication, was graced by
Deputy Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, ambassadors, prominent businessmen
and luminaries in Singapore’s social cultural circles.
She secured wide editorial mileage for the Vienna Opera Ball in both Singapore
and Malaysia, including coverage on prime-time television. The successful
outcome culminated in Le Meridien being conferred the honour to host the
event in the following year where former President of Singapore, H.E.
Mr Ong Teng Cheong and the First Lady, were Guests of Honour.
Evonne also spearheaded two Green Christmas campaigns in 1994 and 1995,
replacing live trees with environmentally friendly ones. This ‘green’
effort and the Vienna Opera Ball earned the hotel two silvers at the Adrian
and Golden Bell PR Awards from HSMAI.
Her creativity extends to conceptualising and implementing major food
and beverage promotions - transforming run-of the-mill culinary events,
such as the French Cheese promotion, into an original and much commended
series of “Cheese and Chinese Tea Appreciation” workshops.
She has worked with the tourism boards of New Zealand and Australia in
organising successful and profitable food festivals. An enterprising PR
practitioner, Evonne is an outgoing, friendly and approachable professional.
She has established strong media ties in her 18 years of experience in
the hospitality arena.

Samuel

force for a 10-day event at the Singapore National Stadium in 2001. In
the same year, he was involved in the execution of an award-winning advertising
campaign.
An experienced editor, Samuel has produced publications such as annual
reports, newsletters and marketing collaterals for companies and educational
institutions.
In addition to PR skills, Samuel has wide experience in the field of learning
and development, particularly as Course Manager of Lifeskills department
at ITE College East, Singapore. Samuel is a certified facilitator for
a personal effectiveness course. He is also a certified behavioural consultant
in the DISC personality profiling system and a certified facilitator in
experiential learning. Samuel has conducted training for adults and the
youth, as well as train-the-trainer sessions in a variety of topics.
Samuel holds an MBA from the University of Leicester and BA (Hons) in
English Language from the National University of Singapore. He is also
a qualified teacher and prior teaching experience at Anglo-Chinese School
(Independent) and Temasek Polytechnic.
