Evonne Lee is a creative, versatile and award winning PR manager with significant experience in the hospitality industry and 5 international PR awards to her credit. She made her foray into the hospitality industry with The Regent, Kuala Lumpur, upon graduation from Sydney University in the eighties. A former Malaysian, she moved to Singapore to work as Public Relations Manager in Harbour View Dai-ichi Hotel, now known as “M”.

Evonne joined Le Meridien Singapore, to take charge of its newly initiated Privilege Club, before taking over the helm of Public Relations department in 1993. She handled both public relations, advertising & promotions, covering media relations, advertising, to event promotions (without advertising agency support) and even publishing – producing up to four concurrent newsletters for Le Meridien.

Evonne has picked up three international awards for newsletters she has produced - two silvers and a bronze at the Adrian and Golden Bell PR Awards, conferred by the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI).
She had a hand in a number of high profile events, having sat on several charity fund-raising committees in aid of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. The inaugural 1993 Vienna Opera Ball, billed as “The Ball of the Year” by Lifestyle Asia, a Philippine publication, was graced by Deputy Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, ambassadors, prominent businessmen and luminaries in Singapore’s social cultural circles.

She secured wide editorial mileage for the Vienna Opera Ball in both Singapore and Malaysia, including coverage on prime-time television. Mr Ong Teng Cheong and the First Lady, were Guests of Honour.

Her creativity extends to conceptualising and implementing major food and beverage promotions - transforming run-of the-mill culinary events, such as the French Cheese promotion, into an original and much commended series of “Cheese and Chinese Tea Appreciation” workshops.

She has worked with the tourism boards of New Zealand and Australia in organising successful and profitable food festivals. An enterprising PR practitioner, Evonne is an outgoing, friendly and approachable professional. She has established strong media ties in her 18 years of experience in the hospitality arena.
